CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - CCIC Representative for WIC Young Investigator Program at SITC 2023
The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) announced that the 38th Annual Meeting & Pre-Conference Programs (SITC 2023) will take place Nov. 1–5, 2023, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. As a member society of the World Immunotherapy Council (WIC), the Canadian Cancer Immunotherapy Consortium (CCIC) was asked to nominate a young investigator (PhD student, postdoctoral research fellow or clinical fellow) to participate in the WIC Young Investigator Symposium at SITC 2023 on behalf of CCIC. Nominated young investigators will be asked to submit a 1-page CV and abstract for consideration for an oral speaking position in the symposium. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Organizers and a select number will be chosen to give an oral presentation. All other young investigators will have the opportunity to present their research through a poster session. The symposium is part of SITC’s pre-conference program and will provide the opportunity for young scientists and future leaders from throughout the world to interact, fulfilling the WIC’s mission to facilitate rapid development and global dissemination of cancer immunotherapies through scientific exchange. Young Investigators will be provided travel, lodging, and meal reimbursement per SITC’s policy.
As part of the selection process, the CCIC invites PhD students, postdoctoral research fellows or clinical fellows, to submit a 1-page CV and abstract. All abstracts will be reviewed, and the top ranked abstract will be submitted to the WIC program.
